Status: COMPLETE!!!
Dec. 2, 2025 marks the completion of Phase 1! We now own the building and can start focusing our efforts on Phase 2 and 3.
The City of Potwin has been an incredible partner in bringing this vision to life. Their support has gone far beyond encouragement. They graciously agreed to sell us the property at a price that allows us to direct more funding toward restoring this iconic building. In addition, the City is actively partnering with us on the HEAL Grant, a vital opportunity to secure restoration funds and preserve the heart of Station 85.

We are going to need about $275,000 to make this dream a reality. Here are some things we are doing to secure funding. See more details on how you can help on the Get Involved page.
Kansas Healthy Food Initiative Grant - In June, we received a $25,000 pre-development grant to set up the business.
HEAL Grant Application - We are working through the application process to secure up to $100,000 to help with restoration efforts. This is due the end of December and awarded between February-April.
Sponsorships - This is an opportunity for individuals or businesses to help fund the processes in exchange for marketing and advertisement opportunities on our platforms and at Station 85.
Private Donations - Anyone in the community who would like to contribute any amount and do so through our Venmo account! Every little bit helps.
Fundraising Events - As soon as we secure the building, we will start hosting and advertising events to help raise money for supplies and materials.

The clean-up process has begun! However, the restoration process will be dependent on how fast we can secure funding and get worked into each contractor's schedule. If you have connections or would like to help in this phase, see our forms on the Get Involved page.
